This leaves me speechless (no small task, mind you)! One of the most impressive images on this thread, for certain!!

This is a small diner near my office where I frequently eat lunch. The ceiling alone is good for hours of reading. I think this is a scene where B&W just wouldn't tell the story! M8, 28mm Elmarit ASPH f2.8.

Jono, Your image is fantastic. You really have the eye.

MEB, I really enjoyed the diner. There is a lot to take in and you are right that B+W would not tell the whole story.

Lloyd, This is a lovely picture of your girls. I think the 50mm perspective is perfect for your style of portraiture.

These photos are nothing special. I'm just doing a comparison of the IR shot straight out of the camera (left), and the same shot converted to B/W (right).

CV 50/1.5 Nokton, and a Hoya R72 Infared filter.

Beautiful shot, but I'd like to see it in B&W. The color version has a yellow cast that is distracting.

Hmm. I appreciate the feedback. I did a toned version, which I'll post. I purposely processed this a little warm, and desaturated it just a bit.

It's a wonderful image (as usual!) but I have to agree with Mike. I think a color version could be very nice, the child's sleeve is a nice touch of color. But I do think it needs to be less yellow.

Lovely photo. Overall, I think the toned is the nicest version, but I am usually partial to black and white!

Great carrots and well spotted. Wish I had a car so I could stop it to take a photo like that

Hey Lloyd! All I did was resize, use silver efex for the B&W, then burned out the edges. Also adjusted levels. Did not do any noise reduction. I find 1250 pretty decent most of the time.

Here is another. Took this one a month ago but just now processed it. Silver efex again.

I am vacationing in Florida and ran across a unique situation. The Great Blue Heron shown in these photos has been coming to my friend's house since 1993. He eats Smelt that Harvey (my friend although the bird is also called Harvey) feeds him from his hand.

The bird probably weighs 40 lbs or so and is one of the largest Blues I have seen. Apparently these guys often live to over 50 years.

I was inside Harvey's house shooting through his double french doors, thus the dark shadow. Shot with an M8 with 35 Cron Asph IV

    Enjoy

That is really amazing. Growing up I lived by a pond frequented in summer by a couple for Great Blues. I tried many times to get close enough for a picture with my Dad's IIIG, but never got near them.

    BTW, Great shots too.
