Great stuff Jono. Isn't the WATE wonderful on the M9?

My Alcatraz shots above were all taken with the WATE.

Absolutely - and not having to fiddle in the menus makes it such a joy to use as well.

There's been some bad publicity for the WATE vs the 18 elmarit on the LUF forum, but I'm not convinced - I think the WATE is splended (and doesn't it seem smaller without Mr Milich's excellent adaptor).

Gosh, stunning fall colors, Tom. The first one is a wall hanger. Beautiful, beautiful, and so three dimensional.

Thanks Steve and Lloyd. Alcatraz, and the surrounding areas, are certainly "target rich environments", and perfectly suited for the M9.

Steve - I really like your "quick snaps". The first and last especially - very nice 3D quality, and nice colors.

Found this image somewhat humorous. Note the guy in yellow jacket taking a picture. I bet his wife gave him an ear-full after that! 90mm Summicron E55, non-APO.

I had assumed that those eyes were the product of a little post processsing by Steve, rather than anything inherent in the 50 pre . . . could be wrong of course? Steve?

What? That is straight from the camera! Ha ha....

    Lets see...

Ran the DNG through C1, in Color Efex pro I ran it through the "Bleach Bypass" filter and then a color filter. Added some vignetting and used the sharpen tool in PS to sharpen the angel a bit. May have also used some dodging on the wings and arms. So yea, it was processed

Re: The All New More and More Fun w/M9 Images

    Hello,

I've had the pleasure of shooting with one of these for the last few days. I'm on a slow laptop and so haven't processed much, but liked the look of this one.

The m9 has its quirks, but it really is an enjoyable camera to use.

    This was with the 35/1.4

c/c welcomed as I learn to process these files.

    Jono,
a great, thought-provoking photo! It put me up to this limerick; hope it works in English.
    Greetings.

There's an unhealthy cash pile sitting in my account that's getting increasingly attracted to more Nikon gear ...

Oh, and if Brad Weeks turns up at the Oregon workshop with a Grey M9 and says 'I brought this one along - I was supposed to drop it off at ProPhoto Supply earlier for some guy at the top of their list but ...' there'll be trouble.

I hadn't thought of that until just now... Didn't mean to add insult to injury!

Hopefully by the time I get back to MN to process some more you'll have an M9 to remedy the situation.

Well Graham, if that happens Mike will be there so we'll pop one of your old lenses on it, shoot off a few (hundred/thousand) frames, and post them up here on the forum so you can see how your kit is performing!

Nice shot, which really show the qualities of that fine lens. I particularly like the third image.

    Here's hoping.

Truthfully it hasn't been much of a distraction as I've been in Yellowstone & Grand Teton's for the last two weeks giving my Nikon gear a good work out, including the big guns!!
