Re: The All New More and More Fun w/M8 Images

Very nice (and making me homesick for Seattle... went to grad school there.). I envy you that lens. I think it's somewhat under-appreciated, and certainly overshadowed now by the 24 lux. But it has a very special quality, which you've nicely demonstrated here.
Lloyd,
Thanks. I'm looking forward to using it on an M9 (if, and when). Of course the lack of crop factor might make the 35mm more attractive. Cheers.

I can see how it might seem a bit wide to some on the M9. I'm a fan of wide, 20mm being my favorite wide angle on 35mm film cameras, I think I'd like it, but who knows. I do very much like field of view the 24 gives on the M8, however, and the 28 as well.

Looking forward to your results... if and when.

Beautiful, silvery tones. Nice. (Didn't you take a shot of this with the M8 a while back?)
Thanks! Yea, I have an M8 shot, in color of the 76 Ball mainly. Drove there today and the ball was still there but it had rolled about 10 feet over over the past year. Today it sat in front of the old barn so I had to get a shot.

What caused the ghost image? Filter? I had a somewhat similar effect with 90mm Summicron-M non-APO when shooting in the rain. I thought it was the lens, but seeing it in your shot, now the filter seems like the likely suspect.

Here are a compilation of M8 photos in Morroco, some in marrakesh and some in the High-Atlas Mounatains where we trekked for 6 days. Most of them with the 35 Cron asph...

I was going to ask "what's wrong with this picture?"; but, reconsidered. I was wondering that too. I had a UV/IR filter on the lens. You're right, the filter's the logical cause. Thanks for commenting. Cheers.

steflaurent974: Beautiful images. Thanks for posting. The seventh photo's especially striking. What's the little girl have in her mouth? Cheers.

Thanks, in fact the seventh one is a stolen one !!! We were driving slowly through a little village where stood a market...it seems to be somewhat like a necklace I think by the way one can see the car glass reflet in the picture !
