Tony is a jewel. I spoke to him yesterday and got my two 37mm cut filters right on their way.

Here are more dark bar shots with (top) 35 Nokton at 1.2 and (bottom) Summilux 50 E43 at 1.4, both at ISO640, -1.33EV, pushed in PP. DNG, ACR and ConvertB&WPro.

Went to the Hiller Air Museum today. Here are a few fun snaps...

#1 - 50 Cron ISO 640 1/45th shutter speed

#2 - CV 12/5.6 ISO 160 32 second exposure. This is the cockpit of a Blue Angels plane. I set the shutter on Auto, sat the camera on the seat, set the 2 second delay and pushed the shutter button. It counted down, ran for 32 seconds at F8, and here's the result

#3 - "China Clipper" 90 F2 ISO 640 1/45th shutter speed

#4 - 90 F2 ISO 640 1/30th shutter speed

I love this camera!

Nick:
I really like the way the Nocton draws at f1.2! As for the 50 Lux shot, that is my favorite lens for low-light --- I know others prefer the Nocti, but to my eye, there's something special about the Lux you simply can't beat.

Dude:

That cockpit shot with the 12 is outstanding!

Whereabouts in the Bay Area are you located?

I agree, Jack. Although the Noctilux bokeh can be good, I don't like it at all when there are points of light in the frame, which come out as circles. Here is a Summilux-50 (pre-ASPH) shot at f/1.4, on Tri-X:
