but no, its not the "Königsstuhl" but not far away from this loction. It was in Heppenheim-Odenwald. A very nice place.

Interesting show - amazing clear light.
Thanks.

Can't quite explain the grotesque shadow -- must have been someone else.

But the light is the result of being at 2000 up to 5000 meters elevation in the Atacama region, where there has been no recorded rainfall for the past 80 years or so and the surfaces are mostly mineral deposits. Volcanoes 30 to 50 miles away in all directions are clearly visible in some views.
