an impromptu celebration dinner at susanna foo after learning that i've sold two small paintings at a group show. we ordered this wine for it's name, but it turned out to be delicious. the wine maker's comment on "the ball buster" on the back label was quite funny.

Thanks Jono and Helen! I have to say, this thread has included some great inspiration for me. I sometimes miss the opportunity to comment on someone's posted shot, but they are all terrific and keep me inspired to shoot more.

Tuscany, shot with the my very best travel camera 'the Leica M8'.

One body, two lenses (24 ASPH and 50 Lux)....what a way to travel.

Charles and Helen and John and Brian - thanks for the kind words.

Chuck - lovely cat shot, and Mike, I understand the attractions of the 'lux . . but I'm rather enamoured of the new lenses (terrible to say).

Today I went out with the WATE, and with the 35 'cron.

Here are the results:

I've also been fiddling about with my black and white technique, and also dragging out the WATE (first 3), and my old 35 'cron (last two).

my it was windy!
These are amazing Jono! Wonderful B&W photographs.

Oh! Wouter
Thank you - I'm embarrassed, from the master himself!

I didn't know you hung about in this neck of the woods.
My GX100 is ALWAYS in my bag . . . but it doesn't come out as often as it should.

As far as B&W is concerned, I have a lot to learn, but I'm beginning to realise that it suits my rather single minded vision rather well.

Thank you again - I'm really flattered :):):):):)
