With the M8 you could establish "continuous numbering" by camera body....by creating a unique folder on a already formated card . This allowed you to create a sequence of images number by body .
On the M9 you have options which look as if this could be accomplished thru the camera menu. 1. reformat the card in camera 2. use the menu to create a new folder name...eg M9100 3. take an image.
The images are still numbered lx000 etc . Tried reformating after the menu selection as well.
In a similar way the date was reformated on the menu isn t being reformated in the images?
Anybody run into this?
When I have access to my laptop and the card I will try working the card in the Mac ..but it seems the menu option was there to solve this numbering issue.
