Most Nebraskans would run away screaming, I think. Maybe some of the old farmers would grok it, but not most of the folks around here. I developed my love for those sorts of markets living in San Francisco's Chinatown!

Wonderful Nick . . . I also loved the market shots, but i was a bit disturbed to see the frogs all looking at where their compatriots had been butchered . . . those ducks looked yummy though!

I went to a retirement party this evening - here are a couple of shots with the M9 and the 35 'lux that I liked . . . . they aren't perhaps so suitable for the website

    Just this guy you know

Maggie: That explains it! Our Chinatown is now the "International district". Not as authentically colorful as SF's. Besides, meat comes in brown paper wrappers or those see through plastic trays.

Jono: Looks good to me. I think the low contrast images suit the retirement, fading away, purpose of the party. This last one really captures a moment.

Sig284: Thanks. It's 55 deg. F. outside. Today's high was 62 deg. F. (11 deg. F. below normal). We do plan on huddling under the umbrella from the rain and having a BBQ on Sunday.

(PS. this is a deju vu moment for me because I thought i wrote these same responses and hit "submit reply" about a half hour ago on my laptop? )

    Hi Nick...

    Petai... Stinky beans eh?

Yes... I am from P.J or at least 30 odd years ago. Now I am in the States. My wife, from here, love it with Balachan & Onions or Ikan Belis.

    Good stuff...

    BTW Like those M9 shots.

I agree with Lloyd... it is a powerful image.

It is interesting that the image above it... 3 Hamburger patties on a grill...

Wow, so many amazing captures recently. I hasve been busy, not shooting as much, entertaining friends, and something else awesome, so I haven't been around as much, so... a few comments.

    1. Steve: Back to Boston for you, I see. I just get so pulled into your shots. AMAZING, my friend. Lovely set of moments.

    2. Jono. I LOVE the genuine expressions and moments that you have captured. SHows that in the right hands, the M can be an invisible tool to blend in.

    3. Markmont: Welcome. Nice self portrait. You have a beautiful M on your hands.
