These are really terrific, David. Love the b/w processing, it's perfect.

David, Love this set of horse images (used to have my own horse growing up and so I'm a horse fan). The B&W processing is stellar!! Eleanor

Been off the forum for a while so have to catch up on all the stuff I've missed (have family here in Colorado and we've stayed busy). Anyway got a chance to go with the family to the Fairplay, Colorado Burro Days...a large small town event than happens each July. Here are some images taken with my M9 and new 50 Lux asph lens. There was movement in what I was photographing but to my surprise, everything was in focus. Eleanor

Eleanor: Composition, IQ, pp, contrast, and tonality are excellent (bit redundant there)! Well selected set of photos. They give a nice sense of the festivities. I esp. like these three: the horse caught you, "Pilates is hardcore"?, and the look over the shoulder as she "cruises" along in her tractor. Cheers, Matt.

Thanks Matt. The Pilates image was shot from the hip so to speak and focus was a guess. I lucked out. Eleanor

Matt, Lloyd and Eleanor: Thanks! Glad you like it. But no HDR here. A whole bunch of individual layers with luminosity-based selections tweaked and twisted. I've never been able to make HDR work right.

This is another from this evening. ISO 1250 DNG and Jpeg setting. A bit noisy but interesting since the bow appeared without any rain.

Matt and Lloyd, thanks for the compliments...

Here's two more from Mesa Verde. I'm still learning how to use the camera well, but once I get it into PS, I am comfortable to work the image as I have done for the last few years. I'm looking forward to making some platinum and gum-overs of some of these images.

I'm going to try to use the Gallery to show these so people don't have to link to it...

Here's a few from Mesa Verde. The first if from the 35mm summicron, and the second is from the 50mm summilux. M9.

    Let's see if this works...

    Thanks guys...

I should have mentioned that they are both stitches, the top was about 6 frames with heavy overlap, and the bottom was 4 frames .

I really like the texture in the rock in the vertical image.

Thanks, Steve, Lloyd, Matt, and Eleanor.

It's good to get out the Vegas rut and come up with some decent images closer to home.

I was especially happy with the b/w processing. Lightroom 3 seems to have a more subtle sharpening algorithm.

Thanks Lloyd. I probably miss the best shots because I get very intimidated when doing "street"/people shooting so I try to stay "safe" and go as unnoticed as possible...missing many potentially interesting images. eleanor

Matt I am particularly drawn to the reds in this image but my eye also goes to the left side of the frame and the layered reflections. nicely seen. Eleanor

    Thanks for looking.

Very nice. I especially like that second one.

This is another from this evening. ISO 1250 DNG and Jpeg setting. A bit noisy but interesting since the bow appeared without any rain.
Beautifully captured Tim. Thanks for sharing.

Tim: Beautiful image. "HDR" has become sort of a pejorative, hasn't it? It's was still good cookin'

Here's two more from Mesa Verde. I'm still learning how to use the camera well, but once I get it into PS, I am comfortable to work the image as I have done for the last few years. I'm looking forward to making some platinum and gum-overs of some of these images.
mjm6: Also very nice. The second photo looks like a play model with the rock crack above altering the scale. Beautiful pp. They should make incredible prints.
