Phew, it's been tooo dang busy for me, and I apologize to all of you with whom I haven't had a chance to communicate or share with recently...2 days off in 3 weeks will do that :(

Anyways, lovely captures by Steve, Matt, Lloyd, Steve (sig), Mike, Jaap, Woody, just on this page...I'm gonna have some catching up to do, but gosh, you guys are all so prolific!

Here's one from the summer's archives, as I am sorting through my LR3 catalog:

Ashwin:
1. Interesting tone. Nice catch with the jugglers.
2. Nice composition, lines and B&W pp. And, they say Modern Architecture isn't sensitive to it's context!
3. Strong single point perspective sucks you in, and, then back to it's start at the people in the crosswalk.
4. Well seen with the neon sign and the herd of cops; great color
5. Dynamic capture with the bicyclist swerving to the right and the strong lines of the converging streets, sidewalks, and pedestrians; nice tonality
6. Good grab, look, and pp
7. Well, it is NYC
8. At first, you don't notice them, but, it's the birds that push it over the edge
9. It's like a street with squatters; there doesn't appear to be any pattern, or reason for that furniture and those people; nice color
10. Nicely timed shot; the clear space to the right of the closest guy allows the wall to lead the eye out and along the bridge strengthening the perspective; beautiful tone
11. Those things will Kill you!

Well done! Thanks for sharing. :salute:   :toocool:

Cheers, Matt

Lloyd, Matt, Charles & Steve: Thanks for the comments on my taxi ride :)

Wow, away for 2 days and so many nice shots!

Woody, nice shots from NY. Love the M9+CV12 shot. Great perspective!

Jaap, nice catch at the shopping center.

Steve (shtarka1), great series from the "hood". Good catch on the first and really like the last shot, great mood! Think we need to go out shooting someday soon... although its getting pretty cold now.. :D

Steve (sig284), nice set. Sharp pics with the Noct on the M8. #2 is my fav, very nice

Ashwin, what can I say? Another very nice set. Thanks to you, now I can now pretty much identify shots of the 0.95 on the web accurately :D Love the juggler shot, Philly bridge and Cheese steak shots. That Cheese steak shot should help Leica move a few more Noct 0.95s!

Matt, beautiful shots! #3 is my fav. I'm learning to see the world through your "eyes" and its a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing! If you didn't mention it, #2 looks more like a typical "Apple" store event rather Msoft :D

Charles, very nice shots! The 2nd and 3rd shot are my favorites! but then again I like the rest as any pics taken with the 28Cron is beautiful :D

Joe :)

A few pics to share from MFA Boston yesterday.

Brought my 14month old son over for his first museum experience and for the opening of the new wing (dont tell my wife but secretly I was there for the Richard Avedon exhibition :D).

Highly recommended if you are in the area. One of the original Avedon prints with Dovima and the Elephant recently sold for US $1.15 million (see pic #2) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/20/AR2010112002256.html

Thanks for looking, Joe.
