Lightbulb Leica firmware update and Personal settings

Thanks for the heads up Bart
I thought this was worth a separate thread:

    Please Note!
The update may (or may not) erase your personal settings, so, it might be wise to make a note of them first

    all the best

    Just this guy you know

IMO, this is a good thing since I needed to refine my settings after using the M9s for a while anyway... and kept forgetting to do it ... or was it just laziness? ...

Glad to see this update ... we aren't forgotten.

It will erase your personal settings.
    I updated mine.
All the saved profiles are gone.
    Leica M9 | SE 18 | Lux 24 | Lux 50 | ZM 35 | Nikon D700 | 35/1.8 | 45 PC-E | 50/1.4 | 70-200 VR II | SB 800+600 |SF 58|

The advantage of erasing your personal profiles, is that when you cycle through all the options on the menu, when resetting up, you think "oh I wonder if I should try that". You can find set ups that improve on what you had before.

OK, personal settings aren´t a big problem, but just now I found out that the upgrade was fool enough to reset the frame counter, too...
