90 Elmarit made in Germany?

I just purchased a 90 Elmarit and it says Germany on the lens? I thought they were all made in Canada?

my 3970xxx version (with the sliding lens hood) says 'made in Germany' I think there are many different models.

mine is 3378xxx, Doesn't have the slide out hood though..wish it did...got it on ebay from a dude in Italy. Right out of camera no PP, wide open.

I just checked. Mine was made in Germany . . . and it has a slide out hood.

Depends on the models. Most were made in Germany AFAIK:
- Elmarit 90/2.8, # 11129, 1959-1974: Germany
- Tele-Elmarit 90/2.8 ('fat'), # 11800, 1967-1974: Germany
- Tele-Elmarit-M 90/2.8 ('thin'), # 11800, 1974-1989: mostly Canada
- Elmarit-M 90/2.8, # 11807 (also # 11808 & 11899), 1989-2003: Germany
