R 15 2.8 sold US$1900

Hi. If I'd known these could sell for a lesser price, well...Glass perfect, lens body not quite so..Thought I'd show this so others would know how little they can go for. Hope the link works.

Really? I thought they were worth mid $2k range or a bit more. What is a reasonable price range for that lens in good, but not immaculate condition?

My experience is that an excellent+ 15 3.5 will sell for about $3K and the 15 2.8 (if you can find one) about $5500.

But the auction was for a 2.8 version. The buyer would have the right to not buy the item if it wasn't as described (15mm f2.8 Elmarit-R).

I think you are right. I think if glass is good then (my opinion, correct or not) the price is probably ok for 3.5 version. I got myself a 105-280 just over a year ago, MINT. Within the first month put the tiniest scratch on it. A bit disappointed, but its meant to be used, take photos, so a half beat up thing like this 15 3.5 would save all that worry if that makes any sense.
