Re: The Very Latest & Greatest Fun w/Digital M Images

Wow, some wonderful stuff the last couple of days. Ashwin, I'm torn between admiring the beauty of your night shots and the beauty of your lady friend, and the family pics are heartwarming. Jono, love the frozen tire tracks. "Ceh," the person walking up the steps reflected in the puddle is wonderful, you find such beauty and symmetry in everyday things.

Here's another one from Israel. This is from the top of Masada, but the subject is not the ancient ruins...

You can just make out the Dead Sea through the fog at upper right. M8, 35 'Lux ASPH.
(One of these days I will finish editing these pictures. Yes, I will.)

Hope all are having a not-to-stressful approach to the holidays, and that the good company and cheer of family and friends will warm your hearts.

Thanks so much, Peter. We really need to find a tie to meet up here in Seattle. The lady friend is a looker, but just a friend, though she might get mad should I suggest that the lens rendering was more beautiful than her

    Hi Everyone
    Ashwin
Thanks for the nice words on the 35 'lux snap. I'm teetering noctiluxwards at the moment (having written off the S2 project).
love the lady in the bar (you know, the one who is just a friend )

ceh - I really like the puddle and the steps - nicely seen, and the drop just sets it off nicely.

Jan thank you too - this one is completely great:

I've really enjoyed your shots from Isreal, Peter. And I love that this isn't a typical tourist shot of Masada. Nice.

I suspect you can pick up a thing or two. I think you'll find this a mutual inspiration association.

You might want to look at some of the prior Leica Digital M image threads. I think this is the 5th or 6th we've had here. I've been through them all, and am consistently amazed at the quality and talent we have here. I

Again, welcome, and I look forward to many more images from you.

Welcome - congratulations on being new to Leica . . . . you are at the top of a long and very slippery slope . . . . as is your subject! (is that a clip around the ear I see?!)

anyway, nice shot - look forwards to more.

    Hi guys,
    Thanks for the kind words!

Jono, you should have the Noct f/0.95 in your bag. It is my favorite lens on the M9, despite its weight and occasional impracticality. THe rendering is just magic.

Dan, lovely portrait of the laughing young lady. She's a hottie!

Matt, I really was hoping that the holiday season would deliver that lens that's missing from your camera bag! Bummer. I'll bug Dante for you as well, and Mark too....I am surprised that Brad Weeks hasn't hooked you up yet....

I'd just like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you all get some nice toys

This is a great place to hang out, and it's a pleasure to read and post here.

My very best wishes to you all.

Not a particularly festive image (wrong time of year you could say), but I was revamping the website today, and this was the most appropriate image I came across

    Regards

    Mike

This is a great place to hang out, and it's a pleasure to read and post here.

My very best wishes to you all.

Not a particularly festive image (wrong time of year you could say), but I was revamping the website today, and this was the most appropriate image I came across

Merry Christmas and wishing all a wonderful 2011 year!!!
It is boxing day, in Australia, and spent some time with son taking shots on the surf beaches at Snapper point and today in the Springbrook rainforest in the mist and rain! All shots with 35 Lux II and M9 and all are hand held. Thank for your support in this great forum!!!

Charles, wonderful, AMAZING captures here... all of them sing, and it looks like you and the 35 lux II have bonded very well. I am looking forward to putting it through the paces in India, but your shots here show the potential of this lens...

    Congrats, and Happy holidays!
