not sure....I think I may actually like the B/W version of #3 better:

I really like both versions Ryan. I'm very drawn to the sky in the color version, so I think it has a slight edge over the b/w, but just barely. The entire set is very nice, and I do like the first one in b/w.

thanks much Steve. You too Ryan. It was very dark looking that day after the rain, and in fact it started sprinkling a bit while out. I put my M9 under my sweatshirt! That made it quit.

I am quite taken by the reality of these images, the mood and tone is I think pretty much spot on with what I saw on the trails. That's pretty impressive for the M9 I think, capturing a place with such detail, in such dark and dank conditions, really says a lot about the camera's capability.

Here's once I was playing with, using SEP2. Just playing around with the software a bit. I think I still make better B&W conversions in PS using channel mixer, etc., but I think there is great potential with the software (for me, at least).

    Love This!

I like this shot Lloyd, but I am trying to figure out where the horizon is, and if it's straight. Something tells me, it needs straightening just a tad.

I would use the verticals in the window casing and if anything maybe a 1/2 degree counterclockwise. Very compelling capture however.

I know I'm repeating myself, but the work on here just gets better and better.....

One of these days, you all will have to help me on close focus wide open. Feel free to tell me that close focus wise open is easier on an M9 I missed the focus just a tiny bit, but LOVE this one! From my shoot yesterday...

One of these days, you all will have to help me on close focus wide open. Feel free to tell me that close focus wise open is easier on an M9 I missed the focus just a tiny bit, but LOVE this one! From my shoot yesterday...

Love this Jason. Very intense; great portrait.

Thanks Bob. I just do what the voices in my head (and the bubble level on the my camera) tell me.

Thanks, Lloyd. I doubt I would have got this with the D3 and beast on the front end. That being said, a D3 w/ 70-200 and my M8 are a wicked combo for these shoots. Thanks for the lil push to get me to explore this system!
