    Leica M8 news

Terry just found this on the web

From July 1, 2008 to September 30, 2008, customers can save $500 with the purchase of a brand new LEICA M8 or $800 for a brand new LEICA M8 and a new and current M lens. This promotion is valid for residents of the US, Canada, Central and South America. The mail-in rebate is not applicable to special edition lenses and cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion.

Thanks for posting Guy. the rebate offer shows up on the B&H website!
This once again gets me thinking about what's coming at Photokina!

Now this is a perfect example where Apple really needs to figure out cut and paste on the iPhone as making the post Guy just did was pretty much impossible!

This promotion was announced to replace the Summarit Set promo which expired June 30. There is no M9 slated to be at Photokina...

At Photokina? Not to rehash, but....

A lot of people expect a digital CM-type camera with an M8 sensor, an R10 DSLR with a whole line of AF lenses, some new M lenses (maybe a 24 cron or 28 lux, and almost definitely a new 50 Noct 0.95), and maybe some new compact digitals.

    Other than that, probably nothing.

I don't expect to see an M9 for another year. I could be wrong...

OK, I'll keep my remaining M lenses and be patient, then.
