Ok, after the test shot I'm a bit wary of the portraits I took but here goes :

wife, eldest, youngest

I achieved the look I was going for , but I wish I had used a bit of fill in flash :(
now at least the 3 8 x 10 frames in our family room will now have photos in them :)

any critiques welcome, thanks
Robert
This one works best for me Robert - excellent capture!

Cheers,

Did some street shooting over the weekend - had a few really nice shots but then the Sandisk memory card corruption problem zapped all my photos - oh well

I'm now trying an older card to see if that has the same problem.

Not much to post but a couple of shots - both with the 50 lux.

Very busy lately, and hopelessly behind. But I had to stop by and once again marvel at the magic I see posted in this thread! Great work everyone.

Ash, more great stuff. Particularly like your street images, but then I guess I would :) Maybe time for a sensor clean?

Couple more from me:

Struggling with bagpipes

Respect (so tempting to ask one of them to move out of the frame :))

Ashwin needs to be *busy* more often, hes taking more now than during the summer :p

Great geometry and architecture shots, may i ask what lens ? I know you listed them by a group but I think the bluish ones were all with the Zeiss?

I like the dance troupe one too, I kept thinking, I hope no doors open!
