Railroad in the air (chance to use nice R-telephotos)

About two months ago, I posted a view of the objective in its present state: a railroad line under construction that leaps from tunnel to tunnel, crossing a valley at a height of about 30 stories in the middle:

They have made progress in the last two months, almost looks complete from this angle, but it has actually only covered about one of the five spans needed. You can't get very close to the interesting parts, so it is a great opportunity to haul out my APO-Telyt-R 280/4.0 to see what is going on out in the middle of the span:

full size version here.

Backing up a bit you can see more of the gaps and ends of the cables that reinforce each span:

full size version here. The EXIF is wrong; the lens used was an APO-Elmarit-R 180.

From this point,

it is about 6 km further underground to the station, 75 m below ground in the western corner of Jerusalem, next to the central bus station and the city's biggest auditorium. The line will connect us to the country's airport outside Tel Aviv and to Tel Aviv itself. Someday.

Here's my silly activity for a rainy day, putting a Telyt 560mm on a Visoflex with the mirror locked up and prism removed, itself on a M to MFT adaptor and that on an OM-D. It worked! An 1120mm lens!
