R lenses on visoflex?

I've looked around but can't seem to find an adapter to put an R lens on visoflex III.

Any ideas?
Thanks

You did not search the right places or did not look up any of Leica compendium books.

Leica did make an adapter.

Part Number: 22228/500934

FWIW, a Leica adapter to mount M lenses on R bodies also exists. This is only for macro use of visoflex mount lenses.

Expensive Leica? :ROTFL:

Jokes aside, they are not. Only when someone identify them for what they are then it becomes expensive.

I have many of the original Leica adapters (all sorts) bought for a pittance. All very well made as one would expect.

No, R lenses will not focus to infinity on any Visoflex. Visoflex mount lenses can be adapted to nearly all SLR cameras because of their large register distance. R lenses can only be adapted (without surgery) to a few SLR cameras such as Canon EF which have a noticeably shorter register than Leica R.

Technically, the 22228 adapter is an R lens to M adapter, not Visoflex as it reduces the lens flange to film/sensor distance to that of an M lens. It came out to allow the mounting of R lenses on the Leicina movie cameras. Visoflex II and III accept M mount lenses, but will only focus to infinity with those designed for the Visoflex register.
