    M9 on standby 24/7

anyone else leave their m9 on standby 24/7?

i shoot 2 to 3 times per week and i have found that standby doesn't really draw much battery so just works out to be quicker to leave on standby.

anyone else doing the same thing?

Yes, the auto-off feature is really good. I only turn it off when I put it in bag or pockets that may accidentally press the shutter button.

    no, at least not intentionally.

It takes a split second for the camera to turn on and get ready shoot photos anyway, so I try to turn it off when not in use. But this is a habit more than anything else. battery doesn't seem to drain much at all when on standby.

If I'm not actively shooting, I'll turn the camera off. But out and about - it's always on/standby.

I can't leave my M9 unattended for a day, so I won't bother trying this myself.
