Thanks Phil! I thought that tree looked familiar to the one I've often seen at Dadeland.

M10 Monochrom (in single shot mode) with a 50mm manual focus lens - not easy to pan and follow-focus a low-flying hi-speed swan! (50mm Summilux-M ASPH). Sometimes luck is on one's side!

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

    "Grace Episcopal Church" Keswick, Virginia.

    Leica MM1; 7Artisans 28mm f1.4

Background: The original wood church on this site was commissioned in 1745 and was known as the Middle Church, then the Walker's Church. Thomas Jefferson (who lived nearby at his home in Monticello, just outside of Charlottesville Virginia) served on the parish vestry from 1767 to 1770 since he knew the Rev. James Maury well, who is buried in the churchyard. Eventually William Strickland, one of the nation's foremost architects , was commissioned to design a replacement for the old wooden frame church. It was Strickland's only known work in Virginia and resulted in this stone church with it's Gothic Revival sanctuary.

    Thanks and a wonderful portrait.

Anybody looking to do macro should seriously look into a visoflex bellows and 65mm Elmar. They can be found for cheap and macro really doesn't get much better.

Saturday was a very dull day weather-wise but at least the late afternoon was dry, so I ventured out with M10M and newly arrived 90mm Summarit-M f2.4.

    Full speed ahead to London!

I hope you are happy with the Summarit. I had two of them (50 & 75) and they were fine lenses. It is a shame Leica quit production of these lenses. I think their quality was too close to the others of the same focal length for quite a lot less in do-re-me. See Sean Reid comparisons.

Thanks. All looks good so far. I have had a 75mm f2.5 since 2011 and although it does not see a lot of use, when I do use it the results never fail to please.
