Some portraits taken tonight at my Rotary meeting (Rotary Club of Bakersfield Twilight) with a 2012 camera using a 1937 lens in a 1932 building. Leica M Monochrom auto ISO (varies between 320 and 3200) with 1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar wide-open with yellow filter. As always, minimal post. Gotta love that Sonnar bokeh!!!

Ashwin, Haley No. 1,4,5,6 are sublime. Lovely.

Why wouldn't they be lost in this most generic of city landscapes?

Back with the Luxochron. By my latest count I actually own eight 50mm lenses that are made for or have been adapted for a Leica M.

Woody,

Looks you have a good Sonnar example as well. I've only got four 50s myself (three for Leica). The 1937 Sonnar, a 1963 Jupiter 3 (outstanding copy), a brand-new Summicron (non-APO) and then a Canon EF 50 /1.4.

Okay, my Monochrom sensor is officially filthy. Time for a serious cleaning. ISO 320 and Pull 160, 1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar with yellow filter.
