    Step up ring anyone?

Just wondering if anyone tried using a 46mm to 77mm step ring with their Leica M. I like to get a variable ND filter that I can also use with my Nikon lenses. Since all my M lenses are 46mm and my Nikon are 77mm, a step up ring sounded like the answer except maybe for a little obstruction of the view finder. Anyone using this kind of setup?

I use 46mm ND filters so I can also use the lens hoods. Even then I sometimes struggle with flare on long exposures.

Get the 46mm version and avoid the step ring route. As is, any 46mm polarizer is oversized. A 77mm fader would be easily >80mm in diameter.

Thanks for the feedback. I will stay with 46mm.
