I am quite familiar with Leica's macro accessories, in particular, the lenses- The Milars to the Summars to the Photars. However, I have not owned any of the recent version Photars (I have had the 50/2.8 and the 120/5.6 at some point and still own a 180mm Photar of ancient origin).

Anyone has the 12/2.4, 25/2 (not the 2.5), 50/4, and the 80/5.6 (v2) and share your experience with them?

I got hold of a 50/4 Photar. Quite different than the 50/2.8 (and the Minolta version) I have had before.

I will mount it on one of my helicals and check it out.
