Look for Nikon (39mm) filters (new or used). Right threads but not sure the thickness of the housing will match.

I contacted Leica, who said they don't even know the specifications for the size of the filter..

That is odd. may be it was one of the Mini/micro M fellows replied to you?

The thread size is 39mm with a pitch of 0.5 which is Nikon's. The thickness of the housing of the filter, I have no idea.

    Re: Series 5.5 ND Filter

Maybe Richard Frances from Lapetiteboutiquephoto.com - Spécialiste de l'optique photographique (email: [email protected]) can help. He is a Heliopan reseller and I believe he may be able to have them produce your filter.

Heliopan is, to my knowledge, the last filter manufacturer still having Series 5,5 UV filters in their catalog, so you should give it a try. I ordered a Series 5,5 UV filter this way and received it within 10 days.

    Hope this helps.
