Bird's eye view of Washington, D.C.

I had the very rare opportunity to fly over D.C. to take a series of photos. Attached are a few of my favorites.

Helicopter, no door on my side, Leica S2 120MM lens, gyro stabilizer.

The first image is the Air Force memorial with Crystal City and Reagan airport in the background.

You'll recognize the Pentagon of course, with Arlington Cemetery in the foreground

Last is the Maine avenue marina with the scaffolded Washington Monument - under repair for earthquake damage.

Thank you. It was a unique opportunity and a unique perspective. Here are two more. Dupont circle and the National Islamic Center on Massachusetts avenue.
