How about the Olympus OMD cameras? If you can get over the smaller M4/3 sensor, the Olympus cameras have got great ADF, decent low light performance and plenty of glass to choose from.

I bought my son an OMD-10 and it's great. One of my jazz photographer friends, Tim Dickeson, who shoots for Jazz Times (USA) and Jazzwise (UK) has now gone to using OMD exclusively for his work.

I got me a Fuji XT-1 sometime ago. Pretty satisfied with it.
