I would like

A Leica Q ( or Q50) with a lux 50mm and crop to 75mm.

That's it.

Unless Fuji can follow up with a 50mm version of X100T.

I really would buy such an offering. At a relatively reasonable price.

And be done with it all.

Anyone else for such a product?

Thats why I have kept the T and sold the Q.
Bigger/better viewfinder (even though not build in) and much more flexible IMO ;)
I know not FF and a little slower, but looking at the IQ I dont miss much (except maybe in ISO higher than 1600)

Better yet, why not just make Q for interchangeable lenses, then we can all get what we want.
Do you mean like the X1D? Lenses with built in shutter?

The costs are going to be astronomical.

How about a front TC for the Q instead?

Leica Q35 or Q40 or Q50--and I'm in. I'm hoping one will be announced at Photokina. If not, I will remain Leica-less (for the first time since 2008).

Close if not the same. My close approach is a Leica M-D on which I use Lux 35 and Rit 75mm lenses almost exclusively. Utter simplicity in use, with everything I want in this type of camera. It fulfills all my desires and need for a compact, handy, carry anywhere camera that can make images of top-notch quality whenever I want.

The 'other' camera is for broader uses, and I under-use what it has to offer by quite a lot.

The other 'other cameras' are almost all for sale, real soon now. Things are changing in my life and I'm going to be purging a lot of now unneeded things.

Thanks folks for joining in. I search for
a simple package that has af ( my eyes ), can be slung
over the shoulder, has decent low light
performance.

Just throw it in a carry-on, along with one change
Of clothing, meds, passport and cc.

2 batteries, 2 chargers, iPhone, 2 simple cables,
Mix of 32GB/64GB sd cards.

Everything else buy at destination and
give it away.

That is how I like to travel.

50mm f/.14, of course.

Sounds like my Leica M-D typ 262 with a Summilux 50mm lens would be perfect for you. That's how I use it ... I just prefer 35-75 lenses over a 50 with sensor crop to 75, and I'd rather use an iPad to look at my photos than an iPhone. (I can do the 75mm sensor crop in post processing very easily anyway.)

Close, but no AF (as mentioned by the poster) ...

Your X-Pro2 with the 35 f1.4 comes close.

Longtime M shooter
Big time 50mm lover
M240 & 50lux Asph owner

My M has gotten near-0 use int he time I've owned the Q.
The weight/balance/interface/speed just work for me.

A longer lens version to partner with the 28mm would be a dream.
