Thanks ...this Firmware Update is aimed on the primary weaknesses identified in AF target acquisition and tracking . A very big deal if the SL is being using for action photography with AF lenses. :clap:

Nope, not yet. Looking for more MP, IBIS, and adequate service.

I have found that the Sony a7RII's 42 MP nearly eliminates aliasing in fine feather detail, the Sony's IBIS is very handy with a 280mm or 500mm lens, and Leica's service seems not to have improved over the last year or two: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/273028-just-a-little-bit-grumpy-at-leica-right-now/
So you are obviously quite happy with the A7RII and performance with Leica glass?

I wonder if it would not be a good point in time to acquire the A7RII myself as prices are at least 30-40% down from the introduction price 2 yeas ago. But the camera is still very much up to date ....
