I am heavily invested in the S system as I was in the R, and I am concerned we have reached the end of the road for the S. there was a prototype S3 that never made it out, there are no rumors or announcements. what do you guys think about the future of S?

would they rollout the prototype? would they come up with a mirrorless camera that takes the same lenses? or the end

happy new year

The rumor is that S3 is delayed to spring 2020. You could use S lenses on SL2.
Certainly easy to use S lenses on the SL2, but for me a disappointing experience for the most part. Yes, the optics perform remarkably well on the SL/SL2. Focus and autofocus on the other hand, not so much. I'll be selling off my last few S lenses soon enough.
