Snow is THE reason we do this trip this time of year! (Also, if you read the description in the announcement forum, I do point this fact out!) Snow clearly compliments the images and helps outline the red rock, however it is rare to ever get very much (if any) of it. We timed it perfectly for this year

Here is a shot from yesterday while it was snowing:

Here are couple from this morning as it was breaking up:

Then a few from a few hours later:

We are having a super time already and the workshop doesn't officially start for two more days!!!

Well Guy, these are really great shots although I couldn’t attend these cold zone locations due to medical issues. If you ever offer a local seminar style workshop, then count me in.

    I can't believe this!

Guys, if you read my announcement for this workshop in the workshop announcement section, http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21 , here is the first sentence in the "Details" section and I quote, though with emphasis added:

"Dates will be February 6th through 9th, 2008 in Moab, Utah. Moab in the winter can be spectacular for images, and specifically the early February dates are the most likely to leave a light dusting of snow to accent the red rock structures."

I'll take this opportunity to point out that the workshop doesn't officially begin until tomorrow morning, we do have a few spots still open, AND the hotel we're in does have rooms available! So there is a small window open for any of you willing to make the last minute jaunt to Moab --- come on out and join us!

    Cheers,
    Jack

Peter & Marc: Totally okay to bring souses/significant others on the workshops and the field shooting, but we are usually space-limited during the classroom sessions so we ask that only the participants attend those. In most of our destinations there are a variety of alternative activities while we are doing our sessions like spas, galleries, movie theaters, shopping, etc.

Maybe it's just me, but you can certainly see which images are shot with the DMR. They have a look that is difficult to duplicate with any other system.
