28mm Elmarit Asph problem

I have just bought this lens along with a new M8. The aperture ring felt fine for a week, but now suddenly there are no click stops, just a continuous turning action. The diaphram still works though. I haven't knocked the camera. Does anyone have any ideas please?

if you bought it new (that is with warranty) then send it in for an in-warranty fix. if you bought it used, it'll be repaired out of warranty. my out-of-warranty 28 elmarit had to be sent to leica usa. according to the repair department, it wouldn't cost much to repair. i'm waiting for the repair estimate letter, but i'm guessing the repair will be under 200$.

Use DAG for your repairs, it will probably be half that or less, and turn around time will probably be better.
