LOL Doug on my question above just thinking down the line . I know nothing is promised or even thought of probably at this point but what would the MPX count be with that sensor in small formats

Looking over at DP review I noticed these images of the V grip I thought interesting.

Credit to DP review for these

I was hoping to see V grip with lithium battery pack instead..
It takes the same lithium battery as the digital back. Convenient (in so far as Leaf/Phase owners already own such batteries and the chargers that go with them) and long lasting.

It just also has the option to take AA batteries as a backup option.

Plus built in wireless strobe transmitter which syncs at 1/1600th.

More information on the V-Grip Air

I really believe that this is by far the Best Vertical Grip made by any company!! Sony makes a Kick A%$@ Grip as well, but Canon and Nikon, are just okay in comparison..

All right. I'm headed to Denmark tomorrow to tour the Phase One factory and headquarters and then to St. Petersburg to see my artwork on display in the Manege gallery there.

So signing off for now and wishing you a happy Photokina.

Thanks for everyone who followed our news! Keep any questions coming and when we're back home we'll do our best to answer!

Doug,

Rene told me they will also make the LCD finder compatible to the WRS... not as a replacement but in addition to the current focusing hood. Nice!

The groundglass in the prototype of the sliding back camera is a new one. Looks extremely fine and crisp and the fresnel cutting is somehow special. Will be available as an optional accessory for the WRS, too. Optional as it is significantly more expensive as the regular GG.

Enjoy your trip to Russia!
