    strange vignetting on HCD4/28

hi Guys, appreciate some advice...this is the first set of shots that I have noticed the strange vignette...it occured on the Yosemite valley floor and again later at Mariposa Grove...

Advice appreciated. Yesterday's shots with the 28 showed no such vignette. Vignette is very bad at top left and bottom right.

and a closer look at the vignette area.

I never had this. It looks like some misalignment, maybe lens is not completely clicked into the mount - but then it should not release at all.

Definitely this is not normal. Any chance to see an authorized dealer?

This looks more like the hood being placed incorrectly. Could that be possible? It seems to be visible in the lower left corner as well.

+1 on the hood --- my experience with most hoods for superwides, especially the scalloped ones that bayonet on, is they can easily twist out of register. The effect almost always shows up like this, a vignette on opposite corners of the frame due to the twist...

thanks guys. I think its likely to be the hood...the vignetting is consistent with a hood which is knocked out of its full attachment...twisted clockwise - to remove. moment of panic...even my description should have been vignette top right and bottom left.

I did a test shot last night back at the hotel, and there was no vignette.

    Thanks.
