A few questions about Hasselblad's product announcements.

1. The new 50mm HC lens. When will it be shipping and how does it compare optically to the 35-90mm zoom at 50mm?

2. The 200mp version of the Hassy 50MS back. How does this work in practice?

Hi Howard,

I will be at photokina on Saturday and order the 50mm HC II lens, i will let you know what my rep is saying when it ships.
Maybe i can take some shots with the new 50 and 35-90@50 and stage the raw files somewhere, lets see.

There is some information on the 200mp in the Hassy press release at

I'll be interested in the 50 also. I have the 35-90 which is stellar and I can't imagine the new 50-II outperforming it @ 50mm. However, if the new 50 is significantly improved over the current version I will probably upgrade since the 35-90 doesn't work with my HTS/1.5.

I envy you for your visit of the PHOTOKINA and of course , I wish you lots of fun .

If you have finished your HASSELBLAD visit , don't miss to visit the ALPA stall and let the ALPA people know , that they should have a look into this forum from time to time , to see all the contributions about their products .

But beware of the temptation . You might otherwise cancel your 50mm HASSELBLAD H-lens order and . . . . . . :salute:
