Manhattan Skyline / H4D60 - Top of the Empire State Buidling

I was showing these images at Salon de La Photo in Paris last week and they were very well received.

So I thought I would post them here.

They were taken last weekend by myself at the top of the Empire State building on a very quick visit before returning home!

    H4D60 / HC80 Lens / ISO 100. Handheld.

Files are ready via yousendit.com. I am not sure how long these links stay active so get it while its hot!

Second Raw file is uploading now and I will add it when ready.

JPEGs attached in low res. One is Black and White as I liked the way it turned out like that. You can of course switch it back into colour if you like.

If you don't have a copy of Phocus (2.5.2 is needed!) then register and download at Hasselblad.com.

Ill also post up a couple of high res JPEGs if you don't want to download the RAW.

Nice shots, i wish to do something similar about Dubai city but i don't have any support there to do, also no money to use helicopter and going into tallest building is not that cheap or interesting to do what i want, and at the end it is just a hobby, shame i didn't shoot NYC skyline with my H3D2-39 last year there, so i hope one day i can do it with a gear i will have that time.

Nice images. If you are in NYC, try the top of the Rock on Rockefeller Center. It has quite a view.

Nicely seen and captured! I understand the fascination with this subject matter as I have been working on a similar project for the past two years, photographing the city skyline through the windows of the various conference rooms where I've been attending depositions. Heretofore, I have been using various m4/3 cameras (below is but one example of many), but I am going to figure out to bring my Contax/P30+ combo with me next time...

again not MF, but this chap has been trying to shoot cityscapes around the world with his 8x10. Interesting results, beautiful magnificent pictures...but aftera while, one city looks like the other.

    Hi David,

I'm interested in the H4D60 and was wondering if you could repost those sample images (the links are expired). I failed to find any full resolution images on the web so far

    Many thanks in advance!

David-in the color shot--it seems like you focused on the near, rather than the far---any special reason? ---Charley( just purchased the same camera)

Probably because I had about 10 minutes in total at the top!

I shot several images and to be honest the DOF is pretty much front to back in most cases.
