RZ Pro IID with Mamiya plate and ZD back locks up after back rotation

So, here is the problem. When I rotate ZD back on RZ ProIID it usually locks up, forcing me to take out the battery to restore the operation. Very-very annoying Sad The back is ok, because it works on my AFD III like a charm and NEVER locks up.
Any ideas, why it is happening and how to avoid it?
    Thanks!

I just bought the ZD adapter plate for my RZ pro 2 D. I tried rotating the ZD back while the back is switched on. Yes it occasionally locks up. Not every time but sometimes. Not sure why.

Interesting to hear that the ZD back does not lock up on your AFD3 camera. I use an AFD2 and it locks up at least once every session. Have to open battery door to reset. Just opening the door is enough to reset. Battery can stay in.

    Thanks

I have an AFD1 with ZD back and it locks up usually once per session as well. Sometimes I will take a picture, the shutter goes off but it never takes the picture. That doesn't happen that often, but once and a while.

The ZD is one quirky piece of hardware.

I had odd lock ups with my RZ and the ZD. But I don't think they were when I rotated it. At the time I did not have an AFD to compare how it would crash.
