    Screen for Pentax 645D

    Hello,
A first message from a newbie.
Posted from Paris, under the rain !!
I read and learn from you all thince 3 or 4 years.
    Thanks for that !

    Ok.
Just to give an information i have never read before (may miss something)
The differents screens for the Pentax 645 NII (not the 645N) fit perfectly the last digital 645D.
That's mean that split and microprism screens are available and work well on it, for A lenses and/or for FA
(in some case - macro lens - could be much more confortable than AF)
    Have a good day.

    Hi Daure,

Welcome! It's raining here where I am too!

That's very interesting info if the 645 NII screens fit into the 645D BUT has anyone who tried the 645NII screens (in a 645D) tested for Af or focusing accuracy? I'd want to double check this, especially at the widest apertures before using the camera for critical uses. Thanks again for posting this info.

    Re: Screen for Pentax 645D

    Hello,
I have made some tests with one of the two sreens for the 645NII buyed to use on my 645D. This one is the split screen AB-82.
With some FA and manuel focus lenses.
As i imagined, seems to work pretty well.
No problem at all with the AF system of the 645D with this screen.
Working with one point AF, it is sometimes more "confortable" to move the focus point from centered to left or right, and so, get it out of the split circle.
    Some samples :

Overview of the crime scene - 4.0/45 - MF 67

    From the same point of view - 4.0/300 - MF 67 - f:4.0

100% crop (seems to be difficult to be sharper !!!)

From the same point of view - Olympia Carl Zeiss Sonnar 2,8/180 - f:4.0
    (for Pentacon 6 with adapter)

100% crop (not to be worry about a lens buyed for $ 200,00 !!)

    Macro 4.0/135 - MF 67 - f:5,6

    100% crop

    FA 5,6/300 - MF mode - f:8.0

    100% crop

All pictures Jpeg from Dng via LR3 - Quality 80 - 72 dpi
