I was gonna ask if this thread could return to its original subject (rather than another here's my latest photo thread), when the ALPA post appeared. Hard to imagine anything much techier.

I think it would be more interesting to see more examples that go with the cameras.

    Dream cameras! Superb video!
Once again, they added those annoying fades.

I wish I had the money.

    Indeed it would.

Fred, if you haven't already done so I'd suggest you post your superb portraiture images to the 'Fun with MF Images' and/or the 'Technical Camera Images' threads rather than risk having them buried in camera porn here ;-)

I spy a combination of mounts, LEE hood system and the bar/mount ring. I'd be interested in knowing more too since I think I've got 2/3rd of that outfit right here!

Heck I even spy an Alpa iPhone adaptor mount up there too!

Well, there's a little bit more to it I think because I also have the Nuvofocus mount but it doesn't have the front Alpa addition where the Alpa iPhone adapter is mounted ...

Graham, this is the photo of the ALPA (left) and Cambo (right) mounts from the Nuvofocus website. My A/S rod & hood will fit the adapter according to their site info. Does yours look like this?

Yes - I have the one on the left for Alpa. Juergen's mount though is different and has an extra Alpa accessory mount on it.

Re: Show us your Tech Cam

Do any of these **** cameras give you a useful range of movements with 100 degree lenses?

If you have your sensor vertical, and you want to use all your Mpxs to photograph a building from eye level upwards, what are the options? (I hope to be able to do this with Sinar P3 + SK 47XL).

¿Am I allowed to discuss view cameras here, or do we need a separate thread?

Ideally, the best choice is to start a new thread. You're more likely to get attention if your subject is in the thread name, and it'll stop this thread from going off the rails again.

Here is an other one .

Yes , the adapter and hood plate are made by myself .
Graham is right . Its the LEE standard hood with two filterslots + M86 ring and the ALPA iPHONE holder can be mounted on top of the adapter .
I will give details in an other thread soon .

Re: Show us your Tech Cam

My favorite weekend setup. The ALPA TC and Schneider 35XL. No extra lenses. This is my medium format Leica M9. Lightweight and handholdable.
I bring the lightest tripod I have as well, an ultralight Gitzo 2 series and the Linhof 3D levelling head. With the extra plate on the side I do not need to attach/detach anything at all. The only three more items I also bring are the cable release, 6 stop ND (Heliopan) and one spare battery. One CF card in camera (8gb) is enough.

Absolutely love it and could not think of a single camera I would rather have.

    Dan,

Love the lens hood. A bit less complex than the various options shown on the hood thread.

Steve, I am guilty too with complex, heavy and bulky solutions for shading the lens. Flexarms, clamps and you name it....

So, truth is, it is really nice to go back to basics and light weight! This shade is one of those 'cheapo' rubber things. I cannot extend it because it gets in the image but using it compressed as in the pics it works perfect.

My Alpa TC, IQ 140, and SK Apo-Helvetar 120/5.6 ASPH. Gerald wanted to see the Arca-Swiss slidefix mount on the TC in another thread, here it is. I really like it, not going back to the bulkier old mount.

So would this come under the category of having a problem and needing an intervention?

    Graham,

If by "this" you're referring to having three DBs, I fear the answer may be yes.

Good point. I'm slacking ... I would have a D4 but they seem to be made of unobtainium. I guess the Arca B1G doesn't quite count does it?

Actually since this is a MF thread I was going to include my Fuji 617 but I ran out of tripods.

Graham - you started..... not to overdo it I limit myself with one lens per body and my Contax RTS, Canon F1n and Canon T90 bodies are elsewhere......

It is heartening to know that having two Alpa's is only entry stakes in this game.

p.s. I do miss my MAX at times ... let's see what Photokina has in store.

Someone needs to post a photo of a Linhof Techno. Maybe I'm a sad individual, but I really like that little machine.

There's something really honest about a tech cam, I love my Alpa! I think it's just the no-nonsense practicality of them that really appeals to me.

I think I'd have one even if the images created with them didn't blow me away.

Here's mine from when I first got it, the P25+ may not be the latest and greatest but it does me fine.
