How much can a Mamiya 55mm AF lens cost?

Hi,

I'm very confused. Whats the difference between this Mamiya 55mm lens: http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/product.asp?P_ID=787&PT_ID=273 and this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/182422-REG/Mamiya_210_602_55mm_f_2_8_Lens_for.html other than the huge difference in price?

Neither the Mamiya website or anywhere else seem to show that there is a new and more expensive D version of this lens and from the pictures they look identical.
I can't explain the price difference except that B&H may simply not be that all interested in what is now an essentially obsolete lens replaced by the Phase One 55LS. This one of course is much more expensive still.

KEH are listing the lens new at $249 and Calumet UK have it for the same as the B&H price. It doesn't seem to be country specific at any rate. I called up Robert White in the UK and they're checking with the Mamiya dealer to confirm their price.

Something weird going on.
It possibly could have been that Mamiya could have been overstock on that lens and they just liquidated them once the 55LS came out and new D lens packaging was released.
I know a few people picked this lens up and are quite satisfied.
Keh also has a liberal return policy .

now if only i can find 35mm AF one for about same price... ;)
Or you could put some more $$ to get one in new condition right between the 35 and 55... thus no need to change lens and less in bag; 45D for 1350 usd, here http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28057

Also have my (1st owner) truly mint 80/1.9 for sale... http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28707

Those are my two favorite Mamiya lenses and the very last keepers from my Mamiya system, the 45D is sharpest Mamiya that I have owned :D

Sometimes when it is too good to be true, it can be a little hard to believe.

I was somewhat surprised to see that the 55mm going at such a good price at KEH but hey, they are one of the most reliable sites around and if I were you, I'd snap it up immediately.
