    Cambo X-2 Pro

    Good day all!

Has anyone used the Cambo X2 Pro in the field at all? I'm focusing (pun intended) in using the Mamiya AFD body, Phase One Back and SK/Rodie lenses.

    Thanks!

That was a good one. Sorry, but I have now idea how to focus without live view or a ground glass.

You can mount the AFD on the X2 and you can then see through the ground glass. Your caveats include some limitations on lenses wider than 80mm. Also, the DF body might not be ideal for this in a field situation, as it would need a power source to keep the body from going to sleep with non-electronic contact lenses. The AFD body should be ok, as long as it is set to not go to sleep.

    Hi Steve ...

What are those limitations? Using the recessed board, how wide can I go? The body is an AFDii, btw.

    Thanks!

Infinity focus limitations, depending on the lens. So, Schneider/Rodenstock lenses need to be about 80mm and longer. The older Schneider 28mm/2.8 - not the newer one - will focus, but it has other limits as well (restrictive image circle, for one). The Hasselblad 40mm/50mm won't go to infinity. RZ lenses will (different design).
