ZD Back Assistance

APS

New member
Hi guys .. new to the forum after recently getting into MF.

I use a Mamiya 645AFDII and just got my self an RZ67 Pro IID. Both use the ZD back for now ..

I have the Mamiya Remote Capture for PC but I am about to switch to Mac and cannot find a copy anywhere. The Mamiya Japan site is down and has been for months. I have tried repeated emails to Mamiya Japan with no reply. I have tried Australia's largest Medium Format Supplier with no luck.

I need to find someone who has it tucked away in a draw somewhere.

I know, I know the ZD is old now but at the moment its all I can afford.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Tony

Like a lot of us on here, we all had a ZD back and we all loved it.... So welcome to the fold, I'd rather take a fab shot with the ZD than a naff shot with a DF and IQ180.

Your files work in Adobe Lightroom so go use that, here's why...

Firstly the Mamiya raws are rare and probably won't be supported forever (imagine trying to open them in 10 yrs) Lightroom lets you import them as DNG's so you know you can open them in 10 yrs time.
The Mamiya software was buggy at best, slow and is now not supported.

If you download Capture 1 I think you can use the DB feature for free with your files so try that too, both offer you a better workflow and long term security than the Mamiya software.
