Capture Pilot

I am having a problem of connecting iPad to 13" Retina MacBook Pro using Capture Pilot. It connects fine if I use existing Wi-Fi network but would not work with 'computer to computer' wi-fi network created from MacBook. When I open Capture Pilot from iPad, it see the 'Local Server' properly and display but when I click on it, it displays 'Unreachable Server - could not connect to the server.'

I have MacOS 10.8.2, C1 v.7.0.1 and iOS 6.0.1

Funny thing is it will connect OK to an iMac if the 'computer to computer' wi-fi is created from iMac.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I got helps from C1 tech support and it works fine now. For any one who may have similar problems, see the note below from C1 to trouble shoot.

Great. This means that network connectivity is OK. Next step is the firewall. In System Preferences, Security, check your firewall. Is it on, switch it off temporarily and try again. You could also chech the Options to see whether all incoming traffic is blocked.

Capture pilot should be able to work with the firewall enabled, because a rule is added to the firewall. However a restricted firewall blocks all incoming traffic.
