Yep, I can get very close even to the mother with the cubs ... They know I come from Russia - so they never touch meVery nice!! Especially considering you were pretty close to those bears with a 300 on MF...

Note that "Split-Toning" is a traditional B&W printing process that toned highlights and shadows differently; some chemicals reacted more heavily on the paper stock while others toned more heavily on the activated silver parts. So by combining the base paper color with various chemical baths during the rinse cycles, you would get enhanced tones across the "monochromatic" image, giving it an added impression of depth.
