Yes, I *am* going to post after Dan's masterpiece above. Fortunately, I have no shame.

Conductor of Soap Bubbles. GFX100 with the surprisingly good 100-200/5.6

One of his creations

An onlooker

And the good old Bethesda Fountain

I had to walk hundreds of feet to obtain this photo of the rare "mallard".
I'm particularly fond of the tiny water beads around its eye, although the feather textures on the body are also nice.
GFX100, 100-200/5.6, 200mm@f/5.6, 1/160, ISO400.

If I were a poet I would start with something like, "Ripples and reflections........."
Can someone please complete the sonnet? Only 13 lines left.
You wanted a Sonnet? This is the second one I've written in my life (the other one was just as bad!)

Across the pond the trees were turning red.
The air so still. I stopped to look around:
A tiny "plop". I froze and turned my head.
To see what broke the silence with its sound.

The ripples and reflections knocked me flat.
Speechless at the beauty so revealed.
I swore I'd have to try to capture that.
Perfection in a moment one could feel.

But luck and planning saved that perfect place.
I had the tools for images, you see.
I always have them with me just in case
A tripod and a Hassy X1D

The poet only captures it with rhyme
Photographers will beat that every time.

(Yeats, Shakespeare, and Homer might take issue with that final couplet. Dante would understand.)

Matt!!! That is totally GREAT! Spot on. You should put words to your images!! I am actually trying to write a little something to mine, but seldom get it really right. Not easy!

Thank you, Dan!

The problem with adding words to images (usually jokes, in my case) is that I'm never sure which one gets the "likes". :ROTFL:
