Another "Field Trip", this time to Viking Village. I really love that place, a real throw back. I suspect the boats and gear looked very similar 75 or more years ago. We only saw one person there. Restaurants being closed has really hurt the fishing industry. It looked like just about all the boats were in port. I shot about 120 images. So far I have only developed these six, but several others show promise. Enjoy the images and please stay safe.

Calla Lily

I noticed this calla lily this morning and thought a portrait of it would be nice for Mother's Day.

Sorry, folks. I don't know why the photo wasn't showing. I found that even after re-linking the picture from flickr it still only showed on my computer screen but not the phone. Thanks for letting me know.

So, about the photo. These flowers were really, really small. In fact, the magnification is 1:1 meaning that it's life-size on the negative (sensor). I waited quite a long while hoping that a bee would come around and land near the flower. I felt like I was fishing because there were so many bees landing everywhere but the flower I was aiming the camera. When I finally gave up and put the photos on the computer I saw tiny little eyes looking around. Yup, on the end of the stigma is an even tinier bug.

If you go to the flickr site I uploaded the full size photo, which I normally never do, but I felt bad that the photo didn't show up.
