    Ebony Digital View Cameras!

    Could it be so?

    Ebony - Digital View Cameras - Finesse View D45 / D45S

I have had 4 Ebony cameras and have held on to the last one I used in the classroom (45S).
I would be interested in seeing what they turn out.

Nice to be able to use 4x5" as well as other film formats, but what would this offer that say a Linhof Techno or Arca RL3D doesn't? Would it be cheaper? Less well made as a consequence?

Wow, way cool. I had a dream last night I was using an LF cam and focusing on a GG...

It works fine with longer lenses and if you focus carefully as it is not as rigid as say a Techno or an F69.
With wider lenses you will have trouble keeping the standards parallel and the tilt is not geared so controlling the focus plane is hard

Otherwise it's a beautiful camera and by the way if you have a DB that's got Live View you can get a Graflok adaptor and do away with the sliding back, making the camera even more portable

be nice if you could keep the fine focus of the lens helicoid, just rough focusing with moving the standard. then of course, we would want to shift the back on the rear standard to gobble up all that 4x5 area...
