a couple of LCC questions

Yes, it's true that with some white balances, the LCC taken post-shoot were fine. But isn't the LCC independant of the WB, as it is shot in raw ?
I don’t believe WB is a factor with LCC’s. I forget to shoot the LCC quite often, so what I’ve done is with each lens I have shot a series of LCC’s,using the focus setting I would use to get the greatest sharp range from infinity (I test each lens to see where I lose infinity as I focus closer so I know what number to use), f/11 and then varying shifts by about 2mm. If I forget to shoot one, I use one of these, and it’s worked fine. Sometimes I’ve forgotten how much shift I use, so I try ones that I think are in the range I shifted until I find one that visually looks best.
