35mm film systems:
Canon
Canonet QL17 GIII (exactly like my first camera, 40+ years ago)
F-1 and 4 FD lenses
EOS 1V HS and numerous EOS lenses

Nikon
F2 - 2 bodies with motordrives
F3HP, F100, F5 & F6 with motordrives and more non-AI, AI, AIS and AF lenses than I can remember

Leica
Leicaflex SL2 (black), R3 Safari, R6.2 & R8 (both black), R9 (anthracite) most with winders and/or motordrives. 28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/2 (3 of them), 90/2.8, 135/2.8 (2 of them), 180/2.8 and 250/4. All are either 3 cam or ROM.

No time to make any camera porn shots today, but that old F1 is a beaut.

Given that I have too many systems and too much gear now, where I'd like it to go over the course of the year is towards less and less.

Micro 4/3 - couple bodies, several lenses

Leica M - one body, several lenses

Sony E-mount - one body, couple lenses

Fixed lens: Fuji XF1, Panasonic LX100, iPhone

I've been content for months now without any real urge to buy more. Feels nice :).

EDIT: Just realized I am posting in the Medium Format section. Sorry about that.

Glad to know I am not the only person on GetDPI still showing signs of GAS. However, I seem to be one of the few who is not making any effort (or has any desire) to slim down their collection of photo gear.

I went through that phase about 30 years ago. Sold off my entire collection of medium format film cameras, including a complete Mamiya TLR system and Pentax 67 system. Regretted it a year later and vowed I would never do that again.

Ok, I'll admit that I'm not immune from the appeal of gear downsizing or simplification, given the right circumstances and motivation.

I traded in my entire (almost) micro 4/3rds kit for a Nikon D800e a few years ago and I don't miss the m4/3 gear at all.

Will I ever part with these Swedish beauties?

Never.

i hate selling film cameras but don't regret for more than a minute letting a digital camera go. What does that say?

Watch this space until I buy another Mamiya 7II system :facesmack:

A nice swedish family picture .
Don't sell any of them . You must not feed these beauties , but you can enjoy them every day . As I do with mine .

Hmm. I have just as much trouble selling digital cameras that have worked well for me as I do film cameras, and sell film cameras that didn't out of hand just as easily as digital cameras.

I think the distinction is that the camera worked well for me... :)

The Nikon F, Leicaflex SLs and R8, Leica M4-2 and CL, Hasselblad 500CM and SWC, and Voigtländer Perkeo II prove very hard to let go of. Same goes for the Olympus E-1, Ricoh GXR, Leica X2, and Olympus E-PL1. And all the Polaroids!

Sadly, I would really like to acquire a Nikon F6 as well. Sadly because the amount I'd likely use it is probably measured best in number of exposures per year. It would be more sensible to get a D700 or D750. Oh, the tugs of desire!

When I take a serious trip which takes up lots of energy, effort and time to do photography, I normally take one or two of my medium format digital systems. One time the DF became malfunction and lockup on me in the desert due to heat and ever since I have more backup for the DF.

Wow! All of you pros. I am envious as hell of all the fun you guys must have had with these awesome cameras in the good old film days.

Growing up, I could only dream of ever owning a Leica. I remember when I bought my M9, it was a truly surreal moment, opening the box, as if there was a sacred relic inside.

The problem with getting good stuff is that there is little anticipation left for the future.
