Difference between Hassy CF and CFI lenses.

I was wondering about actual differences between Hassy CF & CFI lenses relating to IQ, coating, functionality, etc.. Also what is the difference in perceived market value.

The CFi lenses are later models, so often command a bit of a premium ... not that they are necessarily any better, just tend to have less miles on them.

The CFi has a different sync port configuration. One issue with the CFs was some problems with the sync port breaking (been there, done that).

There is a different shade mount on the CFi and there supposedly is more internal reflection suppression.

The CFi also has an improved shutter mechicanism and stronger longer life spring.

Zeiss tended to make minor improvements in progress during the production run of a lens ... some are never announced.

    Thanks, it clears things up!
